Willkie Farr & Gallagher has hired fund formation attorney Lior Ohayon as a partner in its asset management group in New York.
Previously, Ohayon was chair of the private funds group and co-chair of the corporate practice group at Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP.
Ohayon advises domestic and foreign banks, financial services companies and investment management firms on fund formation, asset management, compensation and regulatory matters across asset classes and investment structures in the U.S. and abroad. He also focuses on the sponsor side of private funds and has represented banks in the creation and operation of private investment funds.
“Lior adds depth to our ever-growing private funds practice,” said firm chairman Steven Gartner. “His specific experience in real assets, as well as creating access funds for large banks, will significantly expand the scope of work we currently provide for fund formation clients.”
