Jeff Mackey, who helped establish the first actively managed exchange-traded fund authorized by Ireland, has joined Dechert as a partner, bolstering the firm’s Dublin office.
Mackey joins Dechert from Dillon Eustace, where he specialized in investment funds and asset management. At Dechert, he will focus on the establishment and authorization of investment funds, including alternative investment funds, ETFs and European UCITS.
According to Dechert, Mackey regularly represents Irish-based fund service providers and financial institutions doing business in Ireland, including UCITS management companies, alternative investment fund managers and investment managers engaged in credit funds, equity funds, fixed income funds, money market funds and real estate funds. In addition, he counsels clients on the registration of investment funds throughout Asia and Europe.
“It’s a privilege to join such a highly regarded financial services practice made up of experienced and talented lawyers,” Mackey said. “I’m certain my clients will benefit from the international presence of the firm, and I’m glad to contribute to the firm’s growth.”
